The Power of Prayer

Philippians 3:10

“Move to Erie, become established and build a great church.”

In June of 1981, fresh out of Bible school in Tulsa, OK, Jim and Pam arrived in Erie, PA. Their sojourn began by living for 10 weeks in a tent on Walnut Creek with their three-year-old son. After all, God had said, “Move to Erie, become established and build a great church.” No obstacle was impossible to overcome!

Making Erie, PA their permanent home, they helped to plant two churches before founding and pastoring Erie Christian Fellowship for 30 years. Out of their organization is also a Christian School, Leadership Christian Academy.

Philippians 3:10

In September, 2018, Jim was found lifeless on the side of the road.

Something was terribly wrong.

While in Maine, Jim was found lifeless on the side of the road. No one knew what happened. Prompted by the Holy Spirit, Pam immediately stopped everything - knowing she must find him.

The Dumont’s story has amazing doctors and is a testimony to prayer and Jesus’ resurrection power. During this season of ministry, Jim and Pam are telling their story and strengthening believers. Their challenge to every believer is, “How well do you know Jesus?
